Hope Fest in Chilon really exceed our expectations!
In the history of the village of Chilon, this was the first time a Kids Fest and Family Fest were held at the soccer stadium. The excitement was palpable as we approached the stadium around 2:00 PM, seeing a multitude of people from neighboring villages gathered there.
Local coordinators shared with us that some had walked three, four, or even six hours to reach the soccer field. Some had arrived as early as seven or eight in the morning, eagerly awaiting the start of Hope Fest.
We had the privilege of welcoming over 60 volunteers from another city and even from other nations. Spark, an organization based in Dallas, Texas, sent a dedicated team to support and be part of Hope Fest. They orchestrated a variety of activities and shows for the children throughout the day, including a powerful play that led to over 4,000 kids and their parents accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts as their Lord and Savior.
Throughout the day, we were able to give away an astounding 28 bikes, along with toys and candies to the kids. The impact of this event was immeasurable, and we are incredibly grateful to all those who contributed to making it a reality. We know that on that day, countless individuals made the life-changing decision to come to Jesus."
