A few years ago, in the heart of Chiapas de Corzo, Mexico, our team embarked on the "Invasion of Hope" gospel crusade. Among the sea of faces, one stood out distinctly - Edgar. His eyes, once bright, were now clouded by the weight of a five-year battle with alcoholism. This addiction had cost him everything: his family, his home, and his dignity. The streets of Chiapas had become both his refuge and prison.
On that fateful evening, perhaps driven by desperation and a divine intervention, Edgar found himself stepping onto the crusade field. As the message of hope and redemption echoed, tears streamed down his face. When the altar call was made, Edgar, with trembling steps, moved forward. It was a sight that left an indelible mark on our hearts.
That night, a miracle unfolded before our eyes. Edgar, who had been shackled by his addiction, experienced a profound deliverance. The chains of alcoholism that had bound him for years were broken. Traumas from his past were healed at the altar that night and hope, freedom and salvation came into his life.
